Hi, my name is Emily and I’m a freelance graphic designer living in Portland, Oregon. I began this blog to share my thoughts, life, inspiration, art and design, although more recently it will probably include posts on pregnancy and babies!
A little about me: My favorite things are cool/functional design, good food, crafting, and traveling (although I don’t really do it very much anymore). My life pretty much consists of working, reading, gardening, spending time with my husband, watching netflix movies, having dinner with friends, playing games, my dog, Barkley, and growing our baby.
David and I live in a shoebox-sized house, just big enough for two people and a dog. Since David is remarkably handy, we’ve been able to almost completely remodel the kitchen and bathroom, build a deck, a modern-looking shed, and several raised garden beds. David often laments that there is no garage (it had been converted into our office space before we bought it), and how it is hard to entertain more than a couple friends at a time in our tiny eating area. However, with the high cost of housing, we’re likely to be here a while. Who knows? We may even build an addition out back in a few years, now that we have a baby on the way
Besides writing, I ‘ve also begun taking pictures again. Practically all the photos on this site have been taken with our Kodak EasyShare V550, which I’m learning to use better and better all the time.
So enjoy and thanks for stopping by! Updated June 5, 2008
