25 Things About Me

  1. I wish I started having children earlier.
  2. One of my favorite books is Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead.
  3. Angelina Jolie is my favorite actress (and I’m not embarrassed to admit it).
  4. I wish my mom had taught me to sew when I was a kid.
  5. My first job was as a file clerk at an ear, nose, and throat specialist.
  6. When I was young, the books that made a big impression on me were The Little House on the Prairie, Anne of Green Gables, and The Chronicles of Narnia.
  7. Hard to believe now, but I was a cheerleader for 3 years.
  8. I met my husband in high school. We finally married 13 years later.
  9. I attended 8 colleges and universities before getting my degree (including community colleges and 4-weeks of “study abroad”).
  10. Needless to say, I’ll probably be paying down my student loans for a very long time.
  11. I finally got a degree in Graphic Design.
  12. I am considered a small business owner (even though the only employees have been my husband and I).
  13. I love to garden.
  14. I love to take photographs.
  15. I love visiting other countries. Actually this would be my #1 favorite.
  16. I like girlie music: Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morrissette, Avril Lavigne. Maybe I have a thing for Canadians?
  17. In my next life, I would like to be a successful architect… or writer.
  18. A few of my favorite architects are Michelle Kaufman, Richard Neutra, and of course, Frank Lloyd Wright.
  19. Whenever I order a sundae from a fast food place I ask for half hot fudge, half caramel.
  20. I taught snowboarding for 2 years.
  21. It was 1998 when I knew someday I’d have a little girl named Autumn. Here she is, 10 years later, although Autumn turns out to be her middle name, and not her first.
  22. I like shoes, but I mostly tend to wear Danskos or flip-flops.
  23. I really enjoy eating out at new restaurants.
  24. I really like modern design.
  25. Today is my birthday.

    I too wish I had learned to sew at an early age and I love shoes but don’t find myself wearing my “hot mama” shoes as much. 🙂
